Such fire engines were very common in Northern Ireland -
the N.I. fire brigade had something like 500 of them in total;
most survive. I captured this one on the way back from
Cork in June this year. We had stopped at the town
of Urlingford (Co. Kilkenny) for a break, and were just
about to pull away to resume our journey home to Dublin when the lorry
pulled into the parking lot - this was at about 7pm in the evening.
It's amazing what one can see if one looks.
