This is a vehicle you don't see every day, a 1976
Unimog 404.0
crew cab.
It's called John's kitchen because - well it might be for sale -
try `John' at `AG Autogas' Melbourne.
|
|
Here we have men and women of the Australian Army
giving an excellent demonstration of how not to be seen;
there's a Perentie
6x6 under that.

This Nissan Patrol, crewed by Wayne Smith and [____],
won the 1999 Malaysian Rainforest Challenge.
It has a 4.2 litre turbo-charged diesel with a spec' inter-cooler,
ARB diff locks
front and rear.
|
|
The Nissan was on the Simex Tyres stand, because that's what
it was, and is, wearing - Jungle Trek II 34.5"x10.5"
($350 at the show). Simex tyres are made in Malaysia and are
getting a good reputation.

|
|
And there was something for all the family.

The test track had been improved
with more variety and better viewing.
Club volunteers drive visitors around -
mud overcame ambition for this Subaru but . . .
|
|
. . . quite a few came to a halt at this
particular spot. This Jeep needed a pull with the
snatch strap
(all conducted with great attention to safety).
