In Pit Lane joins the Revolution

Revolution Racegear, Australia's number one motorsport accessories store have signed as the primary sponsor of the new series of In Pit Lane which returns to Melbourne's Channel 31 Tuesday January 25th at the new time of 9.30 pm. Dale Rodgers; himself a regular competitor in state level motorsport and the Managing Director of Revolution Racegear said that the company was delighted to be associated with the show. "We see In Pit Lane as being of great value to the local motorsport community" he said. "Revolution Racegear is committed to supporting motorsport at all levels and we hope the association with In Pit Lane will be a long one".

Host of In Pit Lane Brett Ramsey said that the all volunteer crew of the show were thrilled with the support of Revolution Racegear which would allow the show to continue into it's second year on Channel 31. "The support we've had from the Australian motorsport community has been overwhelming" said Brett. "People need to realise that although the shows on Channel 31 are produced by volunteers there is still considerable cost in making a program" he said. "Unlike the ABC or SBS , Channel 31 receives no Government assistance and relies on the support of sponsors like Revolution Racegear, the commitment and energy of its volunteers and the financial support of viewers to survive.

Brett said every new season and every new show on 31 was a struggle. "But the incredible amount of feedback we get from our viewers and the local motorsport community make it all worthwhile." he said. Brett also pointed out that with the axing of Hey Hey It's Saturday and Rove that Channel 31 and the show's executive producers RMITV student television, were now doing more live TV from Melbourne than most of the Commercial networks.

"This city has a great tradition of live TV and with shows like In Pit Lane, The Loft LIVE and Under Melbourne tonight, RMITV and Channel 31 are working to keep that tradition alive" According to Brett, In Pit Lane's development and spirit had more in common with IMT and The Don Lane Show than with programs like RPM on TEN or Speedweek on SBS. "I'm pleased to say that we get a lot of feedback from viewers who are not traditional motorsport viewers but who still watch every week due to the shows unpredictablity. They're not sure what might happen next and we have absolutely no idea." In Pit Lane returns Tuesday night January 25th at 9.30 on Australia's most watched Community TV channel MCTV 31.
